Hello, mt name is Sara and I’m a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I’m an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). Along with being a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
I have a number of years experience in private practice providing support for a wide range of problems. Such as anxiety, stress, anger depression, relationship problems or bereavement.
I genuinely care about and treat each person as an individual, so I will never impose a ‘one treatment fits all’ approach. I use an ‘integrative approach’ which means I combine different elements of specific therapies. My commitment is to listen to your challenges, however big or small and tailor the sessions accordingly to suit you.
You will be treated with the utmost respect, empathy and understanding. I will help you explore any issues, which might be affecting your health, relationships, work and quality of life.
Counselling offers insight into difficulties that may have arisen from your past which may still affect you in the here and now. CBT therapy focusses on changing any negative thoughts and behaviours you may have into more positive ones.
Counselling allows you the time and space to explore and try and understand yourself in a safe, supportive environment. As an experienced therapist, I will help you feel understood and heard so you can begin to make sense your problems and begin the process to heal.
As a member of BACP I subscribe to their code of ethics. This includes undertaking continuous professional development and clinical Supervision. I also hold professional indemnity insurance in order to be able to practice.
If you wish to consider medication or are seeking a medical diagnosis or medical report. An appointment with your GP or a Consultant Psychiatrist would be more appropriate.
