CBT & Counselling Erith

Hello, my name is Claire Draper and I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Therapist at CBT & Counselling Erith. I hold a Higher Diploma (Level 4) in Psychotherapy and Counselling and work within the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines.

Since 2015, I have specialised in supporting adult individuals and couples. My training and experience allow me to assess your unique needs and recommend the most suitable therapeutic approach. I tend to work from a Person-Centred perspective and may also draw upon the more practical approach of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you move forward.

If you’re facing conflict, negative patterns, or misunderstandings, therapy can help you gain insight, improve communication, and break unhelpful cycles. Whether you’re dealing with challenges like self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, or relationship struggles, I’m here to support you. Together, we can explore the past and present to foster understanding and create lasting change.

Ethical Standards

I’m a registered member of the BACP, I’m fully insured and an enhanced DBS certificate. I also attend ongoing supervision and have continual & professional development to ensure I provide the best possible service to my clients

My Approach

Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, I am here to support you. With over ten years of experience, I incorporate a variety of different therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy,  to suit your individual needs. My aim is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood.

Using the Person-Centred Approach, I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, fostering self-discovery and personal growth. By combining these methods, I can help you better understand your emotions, whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or other challenges.

I am passionate about tailoring therapy to each client, helping you gain new perspectives and make sense of your experiences, often for the first time. Together, we can work towards healthier, happier relationships with yourself and others, navigating life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
