More From Daniella

Hello, I’m Daniella, a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I hold a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Certificate in Hypnotherapy. I’m an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and also work as an NHS Counsellor and Wellbeing Coach, supporting both individuals and couples.

Psychotherapeutic Counselling focuses on the relationship between you and your therapist, which is at the heart of the work we do together. My approach is genuine, compassionate, and down-to-earth, helping you feel comfortable enough to open up and explore what’s going on for you.

It’s not always easy to ask for help, but reaching out shows strength. Without support, we are often left trying to manage painful emotions alone. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can safely explore your thoughts and feelings. Many clients tell me that simply having someone to listen and understand them makes a huge difference.

I know how it feels to be on the other side of the room — during my training, I experienced therapy myself. This helps me relate to the nerves, apprehension, or relief you may feel when you first come to counselling. I believe that, handled with care, the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful source of healing and change.

How my therapy can help

I aim to help you feel safe, supported, and free to speak openly. I will never give advice unless invited to but may gently challenge you when it feels helpful. Together, we can explore any unhelpful patterns, including self-criticism or low self-esteem, and work towards developing kinder ways of relating to yourself.

If you’re facing relationship difficulties at home or at work, we will look at how to reduce self-sabotaging behaviours and help you express your needs more confidently.

When appropriate, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you break down challenges into manageable steps and shift unhelpful patterns. CBT is particularly useful for improving day-to-day wellbeing by creating practical and lasting change.
