About Beth
Hello, I’m Beth, a qualified CBT Counsellor and EMDR practitioner. I provide a warm, understanding, and supportive space where we can work together to tackle challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, and overwhelming emotions. My approach is rooted in the belief that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution to mental health; instead, I combine evidence-based methods to suit your individual needs.
In our sessions, we will focus on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that may be holding you back. By integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), I help you replace these cycles with healthier, more rational ways of thinking. My goal is for you to develop a deeper self-understanding and gain the practical tools necessary to move forward with renewed confidence and self-acceptance.
Working with me is not just about symptom management; it is about empowerment. I want to help you build self-respect and recognise yourself as your greatest asset. Together, we will work towards a life where you feel authorised to make your own choices and live in a way that feels truly authentic to you.

Background & Experience
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), and I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). My professional expertise is further enhanced by my qualification as an EMDR practitioner, which allows me to help clients process traumatic or distressing past experiences that continue to impact their present lives.
My journey into therapy was driven by both professional training and personal experience. Having navigated my own periods of feeling lost and overwhelmed, I have seen first-hand how REBT can help challenge conflicting beliefs and promote self-compassion. In addition to CBT and EMDR, I incorporate elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy to provide a comprehensive, goal-oriented service.
