Background/experience

My interest in psychology and human behaviour has taken me towards career opportunities within mental health for the last 10 years.

I began working within a multi-disciplinary team in a secure mental health hospital who supported people presenting with mild to severe mental health disorders and complexed difficulties.

As I built on my qualifications and clinical experience. I began delivering both individual and group therapy within NHS IAPT services. I also supervise other clinicians which enhances my own learning.

How I Can Help You

  • Many individuals I work with express thoughts like, “I am stuck,” “I can’t cope,” or “What if this happens?” Together, we’ll use psychological interventions to understand your challenges and develop a personalised “toolbox” of coping strategies to enhance your quality of life.
  • During our CBT sessions, we’ll explore your experiences and create rational reflections to understand what sustains your distress. By actively participating, you’ll feel empowered to achieve your goals and address personal challenges effectively.
  • My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE). CBT helps people become autonomous in their lives through identifying and challenging dysfunctional patterns and negative distorted thinking. This approach fosters autonomy and self-awareness.
  • While CBT is the core of my practice, I awill  adapt the therapy to suit your unique needs. Each session is supported by a clear rationale and ethical framework, ensuring a flexible, client-centred approach tailored to what works best for you.
